Kit Osteogenica

KIT OSTEOGENICA GMReis has been developed to concentrate osteoprogenitor stem cells from the in the biomaterial osteocondutor SPONJOSA GMReis bone marrow aspirate.
The bone marrow aspirate is used clinically to tissue regeneration since 1869 when Goujon reported a heterotypical formation of bone tissue from a bone marrow transplantation. Since then several studies have verified the presence of osteoprogenitor stem cells among bone marrow mononucleated cells. These stem cells can be differentiated from bone marrow cells due to its morphology and function.
KIT OSTEOGENICA active principle is based exactly on the concentration of osteoprogenitor stem cells by differential filtering, once they have a specific diameter. The filter used in this process is the SPONJOSA GMReis biomaterial, that mimetizes the cancellous bone, and shows osteoconductor properties as good integration with the surronding bone.
The outcome of this process is a biomaterial implant with osteoconductor and osteogenic properties.
INTENDED USE:
KIT OSTEOGENICA GMReis is used to fill bony voids filler in several orthopedic and trauma procedures, bone reconstruction, oral craniomaxillofacial and vertebral spine, in conditions such as: pseudoarthrosis, deformities, trauma, osteotomy, arthrodesis, degenerative diseases and tumors.
ADVANTAGES:
KIT OSTEOGENICA GMReis can be used as iliac autograft substiutute, with the following advantages:
• Avoids donor area morbidity;
• Unlimited source;
• Association to implants and,
• Fragmentation to fit the damaged area.
KIT COMPOSITION:
The KIT OSTEOGENICA GMReis is composed of: a cannula and a trocar to bone marrow aspiration, a process receivoir and a SPONJOSA GMReis - osteocondutor filter biomaterial of ß-TCP.

SURGICAL PROCEDURE:

RESULT OF THE STEM CELLS RETAINING TRIAL IN SPONJOSA (ß-TCP) BIOMATERIAL:
The bone marrow aspirate filter process results in retaining up to 86% of osteoprogenitor stem cells in the porous biomaterial structure. The absorbable, osteoconductor biomaterial SPONJOSA GMReis is used as a filter to the bone marrow aspirate and its porous structure retains preferentially the osteoprogenitor stem cells.

CASE STUDIES:
KIT OSTEOGENICA and NEW OSTEO in association with antibiotics in femur pseudoarthrosis.

KIT OSTEOGENICA in tibial osteotomy.
